1. How did you reach the idea of resigning from this job?

I have been in the company for more than 6 years but to be honest, I wanted to stay here for only 3 years. I think now is the time for me to venture into private practice.

2. It seems you are very eager to return to your passion. Are you sure, you won’t miss the times you enjoyed a bit?

Since coming here, I have made great friends in co-workers and clients alike. If anything, I have learnt a lot from these people. My typical working day is what I probably won’t look back at with nostalgia. I wish I had additional responsibilities, to help grow my profession.


3. Did you have any goals when you joined the company?

I wanted to offer my immense analytic experience for the benefit of the team. During the first 3 months, I put all I had into the work until I was taken to the procurement department. Technically, that is when my exit process started.

 

4. Would you come to work for this company again?

I would be very careful with such a decision. I understand you are putting up a new department to cater for the increasing demand for analysis. I am more of a research person, and I think I would fit there. However, I don’t think there is a chance for me coming back.

 

5. What did you hate the most while working with us?

The job environment is supposed to be professional for any meaningful results, at least according to my understanding. Here, everybody does what he or she wants, and there is no decorum whatsoever.

 

6. Do you think management gave you enough opportunities to air your views?

No, it didn’t.  In this company, going to the management is purely a waste of time. Though, there are some members of the board who seem to take things a bit seriously.

 

7. Any part of your job that you enjoyed?

I liked it when I was provided the opportunity to deal with clients and come up with the final solution. The problem is such chances were rare.

 

8. If you were to change anything here, what would it be?

First of all, I think, people are seriously underpaid here. How on earth can a person work for a mere 3 dollars a day? In addition, some of the people here don’t have much to do. These are issues that need to be addressed.

 

9. Now that you will be having more free time, how are you planning to use it?

As I am an avid researcher, I see myself getting some more knowledge on world economics. I also think that I have been a bit inactive, so I might resume sports club activities.

 

10. What do think has improved in this company since you came?

My take is that clients are freer when they present their cases to the front office. The after sales approach we introduced seems to bear fruits.

 

11. What were your parameters to select your new employer?

There were a lot of things which I considered while selecting my new employer. For e.g. – the growth opportunity, work culture, work environment, flexibility, scope to apply what I have learnt and experienced till date etc.

 

12. Did you have all the resources to accomplish your job with us? If not, what was missing?

I think, at most of the times, I had the required resources. However, at times I felt a need for better planning and a way to better understand the intention of the top management while making any strategic decision so that I could align my actions better.13. What would you improve to make our workplace better?

I would make almost everything optional.  It's good to have options.

 

14. Were you happy with your pay, benefits and other incentives?

Yes.  I love health insurance premiums that rise faster than my pay.  I like health insurance deductibles that break my bank, and I enjoy the fact that you stopped matching on 401k.  Most of all, I enjoy the discount we can get from GM for employee pricing on new vehicles.  How exclusive!

 

15. What was the quality of the supervision you received?

I had problems with the quality, but it was more of a quantity problem.

 

16. What could your immediate supervisor do to improve his or her management style?

It isn't so much a question of how to improve.  It's a question of how and when to replace.

 

17. Based on your experience with us, what do you think it takes to succeed at this company?

From what I could see, and this is coming from someone who didn't succeed, it is mostly about repeating what other people say, scheduling a lot of meetings, and being very social with people that you'd usually want to punch in the face.

 

18. Did any company policies or procedures (or any other obstacles) make your job more difficult?

1. The bathroom was way too far away from my cubicle.  I had several photo finishes.

2. Your IT staff uninstalled my Google Earth program.  I enjoy that particular piece of software.

3. The bureaucratic process of this company eventually destroyed my will to do anything productive.  At first it was kind of awesome but then it got really boring.

 

19. Would you consider working again for this company in the future?

Probably, because as an external candidate I'm much more appealing to you and I will make more money.

 

20. Would you recommend working for this company to your family and friends?

I would recommend the company to family and friends if you gave me referral money.

 

21. Did your job duty satisfy what you expected?

You might have to quick run your entire role that was assigned to you. You can pick instances where it did not satisfy.

 

22. Did you receive effective training?

If you didn’t have any training in your job, let them know it. Also give them suggestions for effective training. If the training was not that enough then suggest ways to improve.

 

23. Did you receive support by your superiors?

This is to find whether your superiors helped you at work. In case they didn’t just try to mention that and how tough it was for you to complete the work single handedly.

 

24. What would you do to improve the workplace condition?

You can list out a lot of suggestions which would be appreciated by your HR representative.

 

25. What is that your new company offers which is not offered by us?

Again, you have every right to skip this question or answer them completely with those benefits that you are receiving in the new organization.
